This pedal is a “Living Legend”. Since it’s introduction to the guitar world in the nineteen seventies, no pedal has appeared on more recordings or toured the world more then the TS-808/TS-9 Primarily a blues pedal, it’s been linked with such greats as Stevie Ray Vaughan and Eric Johnson.

Having said that, at Von Lehmann we still felt that there was room for a few improvements. So we scoured the world in search of what people had to say about the TS-808/TS-9. And the same comments kept appearing.

“There’s not enough bottom end”.
“The mid frequency hump is insanely pronounced”.
“It’s too noisy”.
“There’s not enough over drive”.

So we set about correcting these problems.

We replaced the IC chip with one of our Red Demons and completely replaced the distortion stage with a Von Lehman custom clipping stage that’s only used in the TS-808/TS-9. This made the pedal louder and much more responsive to you playing style.

We also reconfigured the EQ so’s to add more bottom end to the pedal and remove that nasty mid hump.

Noise was also a big factor with this pedal so we replaced many of it’s components with high quality ones, so now the pedal is almost noiseless.
